The project prepared by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Karaman, faculty member of the Department of German Language and Literature, has been approved for funding under the TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Training Activities Support Program. The project was evaluated at the 115th meeting of the TÜBİTAK BİDEB Executive Board held on 22 May 2026 and was approved for funding with the endorsement of the Presidency.
The project aims to equip prospective German language teachers with essential digital competencies. The training program includes the preparation of worksheets, the development of digital reading comprehension activities, digital instructional material design, exam preparation using word processing software such as Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, and OpenOffice, as well as the development of teaching, assessment, and evaluation materials using artificial intelligence tools such as Fobizz, Coursebox, and SchulKI. Participants will also engage in the creation of digital applications, including German vocabulary games and other interactive learning activities.
